door molding

really really wanting to get rid of the side molding......but, since the truck is black: i'm not sure how to go about doing it. i personally hate it, lol. it looks so much cleaner without it.
who has done it? what did you use? how hard was it? what do i need?

Heat gun. Slowly pry them off with either your fingers or carefully with a plastic pry tool and a microfiber towel against the paint.

You can also use fishing line and saw through the back but I’d prefer that least because it leave a lot of glue residue. If you can pry them off with a heat gun the adhesive usually comes off as well.

When it’s off use some adhesive remover in the paint and then compound and wax.
