As the title asks, I need the proper part number for the door catch/stop, whichever you want to call it. I seem to only come up with the part # for previous model or new model or a totally different vehicle.
The wife had the door blown out of her hand last week in super windy conditions and she heard a loud POP but it didn't damage the body or anything, just extended farther out than normal. I'm afraid if it happens again it could hurt a hinge or damage the body panel.
Any help on a part # would be very much appreciated. Thanks again.

If you post the last 8 digits of your VIN, @915_Tahoe may be able to give you the exact part number.

Please post a photo of the item that you believe needs to be replaced.

Ill try and get a picture when I get home from work. From what I've been able to find, there's a piece of plastic that keeps the door from opening too hard and that may have broken off.
Here's something that looks a lot more like the part in the door, though oddly it doesn't pop up in 2016 Tahoe parts, yet the truck is shown in the part fitments.

The black part in the middle. Nothing I’ve seen really matches that. Not even the part mentioned above unless it’s backwards

Now yes, that looks right. The drawing in post 3 doesn’t. Have one ordered. Thanks to all.

Yeah, the GM drawings can be pretty funky looking. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to post an actual pic on a OEM parts site, but it is what it is.
