Hello everyone with the 3.0 Duramax. I have a 2022 Suburban with the Duramax. I just hit 3500 miles on the odometer and still have 3/4 of a tank of DEF. It came with a full tank of DEF when we bought it new in late March. Just wondering if this is normal. We don't do a ton of towing and most of the miles are from driving above 60 mph. Thanks ahead of time.

I went 4000 miles and was one notch above half. Only 50 miles of towing, 50/50 mix of highway and local 45-55 mph

I have just under 1200 miles and down only 2 notches. Should make it to an oil change at around 7000-7500 miles.'

Sounds about right. I'm at ~13k and have only added three of the Wal-Mart jugs in that time and my gage is only down one bar right now.

Fully normal, but will dramatically increase if you tow. I’ve put 5 gal in mine at 13k miles and on 1/2 full right now…

The first tank of DEF lasts longest, as it is a brand new DPF. But subsequent fills still last 4-5K miles, less if towing.

DEF has nothing to do with the DPF. It is injected after the DPF and before the SCR....

I have put 5 gallons in in about 10k miles or "normal" driving. I had to put another 5 gallons in for a 1200 mi tow (6000 lb boat). Towing drinks the DEF. I was originally told that DEF was proportional to fuel consumption, but it is clearly not...
