Decisions Decision!! Need some Advice

Well im complelty torn here between two trucks! A 1996 gmc yukon 4 door on 23's, 130k, hid and a ridciolous system for $4500- maybe 4.... roughed up interior tho. i test drove it and it runs good clean underneath the only thing that kinda caught my attendtion was the loud clank wen shifting into reverse... prob u-joints or tranny :/... or a 96 two door maroon red tahoe wit a caddy clip, nice system, intake, lowered and 20's wit 168 k but a new trans and recent tune up he always wants 4500.... im lookin to spend like 3800 on either just dont know which one to get. heres the pics.... you guys decide lol!

I like the 2 door with the Caddi clip. Seems like the owner took better care of it. It does have some higer miles, but I don't think I'd let that scare me. I once bought a 93 Yukon 2 door that had 220,000 miles on it. Ran like a champ and ended selling it for 2.5x what I bought it for.

are they both 2wd? i like the looks of the 2 door myself..2 doors are harder to find in good shape around me..

Looks like they are both 4WD.

I would go with Tahoe, not liking the Caddy clip though.

yeaa.... well just got an email back from the guy with the 2 door... he wants 4500 firm so thts a no go... im having a hard ass time trying to find a nice black 4 door with lower miles... i mean lower meaning below 120k... almost imposible lol so i dnt think im gnna go with the green one... not inless the guy is willing to do like 3700 which is rare because hes flipping it he bought it for 3500... who knows mite just wait it out intill a clean black one roles along you know?

i hate those that 2 doors rims.. I think the prices are pretty fair on both of em by the pics. im sure the stereo in the green one is pretty BadASS

i'm liking the green 'hoe had that 2 door have original clip i'll take the 2 door(caddi clip stay w/ caddi) 4 door 'hoe better looking overall IMO

I was looking for a black 4 door two but ended up getting on a white one for $5500 with 74K miles. it will get painted black down the road so no worries.

i wanted my hoe black, but with all the thought into it, isnt worth the battle of keeping it clean and after that wet sanding isnt worth getting all the swirls and crap..

1) NOTHING WRONG WITH CADDY/NALI CLIP!
a) just doesn't seem right on a 2 dr.
2) Cadu Clip looks better taken care of bc at one point and time it WAS REPAINTED! I hope he has reciepts for all this work done to the truck.
3) Its been forsale for a looonnng time...so keep on looking and tell him to take his FIRM PRICE ASS SOMEPLACE ELSE. Everytime he posts it FS I always send him an e-mail bout trade plush cash for his hood until I got mine 2 weeks ago.

What happened to you truck? Isn't it murdered out and lowered?

PLEASE do not be blinded by 23's and a system. I told you over and over again. 23 are CHEAP! TIRES ARE ***** EXSPENSIVE! Does he hav an extra set of rims for the winter months?

Your hearing all these noises that your assuming TAKE IT TO A SHOP AND HAVE IT LOOKED OVER BEFORE YOU BUY!

Just be patient...keep saving and keep looking!

Did you run a carfax on any of the vechiles? Did you check to see if he used OEM GM PARTS for swap? His grill looks same color as truck which is distastful and seems like it just quick cheap spray paint job.

Now lets think in the future...MOD wish...maitence wise is no brainer!

If you were to buy the 2 dr what wut you change and what would you do REALISTICALLY?

Same goes for the 4 dr.

I'd get the 2 door in a heart beat. I paid $4300 after tax/title/liscense for my 4 door that was bone stock besides a drop in K&N and a falling apart "custom" catback. And it had 140K on the clock, but the tranny works awesome (knock on wood) and it doesn't do anything strange if you know what I mean. I personally like the caddy clip, but cut out the grille and put some billet in there. The rims are different, but thats not a bad thing, they could look alot better but their not hidious.

Good luck, I wish there was a 2 door like that around here when I was buying one. I found a '95 2 door with 185k and was getting kinda rusty for $5900 and they wouldn't budge on the price. And my brother for a 2 door 5 speed, but it was like the work truck tahoe LOL

Yea dude..... prob the best advice i got thus far... well for the black tahoe it was my buddys... i was helping him work on it then i dident see him for a while and i always told him that if he was gnna sell it let me know and he sold it from underneth me!!!!.... anyways ever since them ive been looking. the guy wit the two door just emailed me again hes like whats ur budget... told him 3800 tops for that truck well see what he says... your a long island guy if you know of any black or white hoes or yukons for sale just let me know im dying over here lol... and check this clean white one out... 97k only 4400 upstate but no biggie not a bad deal just a little bit of rust on the bottom driver door

And the advice is certainly the best. If nothing else, take it to your favorite parts store, and have them run the codes, to see if anything crazy is going on. But I'm with FF- if it makes noise, take it to a pro.
