Dechroming LTZ questions

I replaced the chrome pieces that I could (mirror caps, door handles) and sprayed what I couldn't (wheels, trim, emblems), but left a little bit to break up the monochromatic look.

Can you explain how you blacked out the rims? Is that really just spray paint?

Yep, I used superwrap (formerly known as autodip), a high gloss spray on vinyl. Works great and lasts a good long while. It’s removable, too. I sprayed the wheels in the car. Just prep well and cover the brakes.
