IMO, anything that the dealer offers you in terms of 'extras', can be obtained on the open market for far less money, and often of better quality. Offering these 'extras' is where the dealer regains/increases it profit margins, after completing a negotiated price agreement with you for the basic purchase of the truck. These are very high profit margin items, meaning that you should look for equal or better alternatives at lower prices elsewhere. Just my 2 cents worth.

Most door edge guards just push on. My wife recently leased a Honda HR-V, and the dealer wanted $165 for the 4 door edge guards. We said, 'No, Thank You'.

I can purchase the Honda brand pre-cut door edge guards on Amazon for $85, or better yet, I can purchase the door edge trim in a 16 ft. roll on Amazon and cut my own to length for $13.
