De-badged Denali

Also debadged the entire back and went with a vinyl logo for GMC instead of the badge.

Hoping to revive this thread. Any of you debadge your truck lately? I'm considering removing the "Denali" lettering from the front doors, but I keep waffling on it. Anyone have some new/different pics to help convince me to pull 'em?

Previous model year but same color as yours….contemplated the same but compromised with black out on the sides and black/chrome for the grill and tailgate badges….still considering wrapping the chrome window/running board trim which will likely happen next time I’m in between projects around the house…but it’s been several years so….

Thanks for that. I’m weighing the “cleanliness” of the sides with nothing on the door at all vs what I see as maybe the “lengthening” illusion that the chrome lettering provides (and, it’s in keeping with my black and chrome theme). I know that I like the clean look of the Escalades [that have nothing on the doors], but I just can’t decide.

If I can source oem chrome letters that I can put back on the truck if I so decide, then I’ll likely pull these letters when the weather gets warmer.

They are just 3M foam taped on. Use a fishing line to "cut" through the back side then use an eraser wheel and drill to removed the left over goo. For the center GMC log above the license plate on the rear lift gate you will need to remove the excess goo by hand (at least on the Denali) because the finish on the plastic gets destroyed with the eraser wheel. Thankfully I watched a guy on YouTube do it on his Denali with the eraser wheel so I didn't have to learn the hard way like he did. lol.

I only de-badged my tailgate. Fishing line, Goo B-Gone, and some elbow grease will do the trick.
