I just got a DDM HID 35W 6000K kit for my 2008 Tahoe LTZ. Do I need the relay wiring harness or not for them to run right? What would the advantages be if I had the harness?

Dont be intimidated about installing the relay harness. It is a very fast and easy job, the harness and relay run in tandom with each other. The hardest part is finding a place to hide the extra wire. And it is only $15

get the harness. its not too hard to hide, but since the tahoes are big and the harness is not very long, go to radio shack and get some two color 18 gauge wire (i believe that the right size), crimps, zip ties, and that plastic tubing stuff (to hide it). make sure to mark the correct wires when cutting.

Carefull with cutting the wires. I was kind of joking when I said that hiding the extra wires was the hardest part. I would not recommend cutting the harness.

how did you run the harness? i found (even tho i had a hard time installing :emotions122: haha) that cutting it and running it by the firewall looked the best. it wouldnt fit otherwise
