Little more progress. This is taking way more time than I anticipated. Of course I'm not full steam ahead either. Taking time to be sure I don't **** anything up. Of course there were 8 or 10 beer breaks. And now I'm drinking whiskey, lol

More progress this morning

I'm alone this am, lol. I'll at least get the rear completed. Not sure if I'll have anyone available to help with the bed, and I wanna get the bed back on before doing the front so I can see how many spacers I need on the struts.

Do you have an engine hoist there? Can lift bed with some 4x4s and a chain...

I sure don't man, and that thought has definitely crossed my mind. I thought about going get one at harbor freight just for this, lol.

I also wanted to use a chain fall attached to the truss of my shop, bit I don't have red iron and didn't trust that it would support the weight. Even though about sandwiching a 2x4 inside that truss. Still didn't feel comfortable about it.

I dont know man, maybe rig it up and lift the bed an inch off the ground and letbit hang for a few.... forget it you have to get the bed inside first.....go get that hoist....
I have a hoist thats about 25-30 years old strong shit back then.... dont know about todays stuff.... my brothers gf worked at a tool rental place and that one hoist just went missing one day.... i dont think the last guy that rented it returned it.... scumbag

Having trouble getting that ***** off now. Hopefully I can get it off and run a thread cleaner on it and then go get a new nut

Ordered new u bolt today. Should get it sometime tomorrow. I'll be back in the shop Wednesday morning after I wake up from working Tuesday night
