Anyone running them? Is a 5" backspacing alright for stock and possibly a lift with 35x12.50's in the future? These are the ones im thinking about ordering:

There is a guy in the OBS section...name is uh...99coop or something close to that. I think the 5" might be a bit much...go for something with a 4.5" BS. Many lifts out there require a 4.5" back spacing.

What size is the wheel?

Like bowtie said you can go with 4.5 which would be good, however i have 5 backspacing because thats all i could get ordered at the time. i run 12.5's on mine and they dont rub at all, however they did rub when i had my 3" susp. with 2" bl. I dont know what lift your running but if you go with 35x12.5's i would go with 4.5, but 5 will work.

I cant find the cragar softs anywhere 16x8 with 4.5" back spacing does anybody know where to get them? Or any other black steel wheels the same size and are around the same price?

might not make them in 4.5 try procomp their the same thing, but might have more sizes. their going to be more expensive, just cause their procomp though.

procomp wheels are made out of thicker steel than most of the other steel wheels out there.

looked at a set while waiting for my new moto's to get mounted and they were alot thicker than the ones i have in the garage. (not sure what brand they are)

steel procomp rock crawlers are the same as other steel rims, procomp isnt built stronger or thicker. in fact most are of the same production. However cheap replacement rims or of course lower quality.

Get some American Racing Mojave Teflon 16x8's. Thats whats on my truck and quite a few others on this forum. They look and work great. The teflon on the wheel is so nice to have when I go offroad nothin sticks to em you never have to clean them they clean themselves.

thats funny since my dad had a set of the american racing steel rims and they seemed thinner than the procomps up at the shop.... but hey sounds like you had two sets side by side to comapre them. my bad.

believe me i never said it was... just going off what i personally looked at up at the shop compared to the other rims of the same style i have seen in the past. so my bad if i took it the wrong way or if you took my reply the wrong way. the lack of internet tone strikes again!

all the ProComp shit will eventually be off my truck (other than the tires) for the SAS swap, never said it was the best, but its def. not the worst, and an excellent product for the money. then I'll have to figure out how to change my name on here...

i probably took the reply the wrong way, thats my bad . On a side note i too will have to be changing my name (coop from cooper tires) i learned to never come up with a name after an interchangeable part, especially tires which i seem to change once a year

thats why the procomp tires are staying, 15,000 miles and they still look new tread wise... still trying to figure that one out.
