justin recommended to both me and blizzard to get the corvette servo while he was tuning ours.
he can firm up your shifting quite a bit but said the servo will make it better

you can get the tune then the servro or get the servo then the tune either way you will get some pretty firm shifting

You'll be fine.

My shift kit wont even spill your drink. its all in how you set it up.

Doing a shift kit and servo is the BEST thing you can do to prolong transmission life.

Dont think its going to ruin your driveability, it will only enhance it.

I can say that installing mine was a bit of a pain, especially trying to get that snap ring back on when putting it all together. But in the long run it was well worth the trouble. I used the write up on GMFS as well. Its hands down the best bang for your buck mod you can do. What other mod can you do for about 20 bucks that will yeild so much improvement in driveability?

Vette servo

That is the correct one. I bought mine from that seller, as well. Fast shipping and a good product. No instructions but just use that write-up on GMFS and you're good to go! If you tow a lot get the Superior 4th gear super hold servo from that same seller. It'll increase holding power in OD and also make the 4-3 kickdown snappier.

I got both products from that seller for $83 to my door.

Just a few questions, (1) whats the part number for the vette servo and the superior 4th gear super hold servo? Looked on ebay but unsure of the correct ones. (2) what is GMFS write up?
Thanks for your time and help.

how hard is it to install the superior 4th gear? i might do the corvette servo and the 4th gear thing. i already have a bb tune so i would have to go back down for a tune, correct?

Just did my Vette servo today in my 04 Tahoe... thanks for all the help in this thread!!

It was pretty easy, but that cover snap ring really is a pain, wow!

Real noticeable difference though, 1st/2nd is really nice.

I have done 2 of these and by far the best thing I have ever done to improve my 4l60e transmission. The first one I did was in my 96 blazer (its lifted and I didn't have to jack it up at all to get to it :Big Laugh:) I went for a test drive after I finished (after dark) and it wouldn't shift into 2nd. Looked in my mirror and saw a trail of trans fluid on the road. Didn't get the snap ring back in all the way and it blew the servo out the side of the trans (didn't loose anything thou). The second one I did in my Tahoe was about 15 mins and I put the longer pin it there too. Damn thing shifts like it should now!

Then yea you might need it. But you may not like that firm of a shift if it's your daily. If your tranny slips pretty bad then you may need the longer rod. I didn't get the longer rod on mine and have had it in there for more than a year. I also have the line pressure turned up so it shifts pretty hard.
