I'm hoping the brakes get better over time as I barely have over 300 miles so far. The Brembos would have been nice but its a $3700 option and I know from a previous vehicle that the pads are not cheap either.

We just spent 8 days in a rental 2025 Yukon Denali....100 something miles from new. Only gripe I have is the AutoStop-Start...
Everything else I was able to disable easily. I did notice the rear speakers sound are almost non existent.....Overall however was a great experience that has us considering a purchase.

What's the cost of your first accident? If you can't stop? Good brakes are imperative on a big vehicle like this. I've gotten by on my 2021 but that's because I know how to anticipate things after getting used to them. But if I could pop 100K on a new vehicle I could pop 4K more and have some brakes that would bring this thing down with authority. I hope to keep this next one for a good long while....
You have a good point. My order has already been fulfilled and delivered though . I wish I would have known about this sooner.

We just rented a 2024 suburban out in Phoenix for a week. We hauled around six people and gear all over the city and out to the desert. Even though it was a 2024 it already had 50,000 miles on it. It did everything we wanted but it's fuel mileage never got above 14 miles a gallon. Of course with 100 degree heat and the AC on high all the time that's probably no surprise. It's sad their rental companies don't take better care of their vehicles than they do.
After driving my Denali at home it becomes readily apparent how many options of rental vehicles are missing. No 360 degree camera no, no rear view mirror camera and just a lot of the creature comforts that you become used to.

Yes....It was a 6.2L XL. Silver....beautiful paint. Black interior with wood accents. My wife says the piano black looks even better. Rather quick for such a big vehicle. Felt much larger than our last Tahoe (2008 model)
Easily swallowed 5 adults, 2 dogs and associated belongings for a day trip. Supremely comfortable on long drives down the interstate but probably won't win any trophies in the corners.. Great infotainment. I'm not a lover of giant infotainment screens as I find them a distraction particularly at night, however that huge screen is beautiful and its not as jarring or obtrusive as you might think. Wireless Android Auto worked great. Settings were easy to find and disable. I wasnt much a fan of GMs version of the head up display as compared to Genesis' or the seat shakers but they are easy to turn off. Excellent side and rearview mirrors. I quite liked the cameras. Ride quality was good...almost pillow like but not so soft or hard so as to be a problem. Combined with the powertrain it felt like it was just gliding along. Transmission is a standout fantastic performer. Never in the wrong gear. Always the right amount of power / acceleration on tap even at mild throttle openings. Adaptive cruise was nice too. I didnt feel the brake pedal problems described above and I did have to panic stop once on a Bay Area freeway..it was a non issue.
For comparison my wife recently was rental upgraded to an Expedition Platinum on a work trip. She liked the Denali much better, said the interior seemed more luxurious and better implemented and I agree. We also recently had a Genesis GV80 rental and while that was a nice vehicle with some standout details like the head up display and exterior design, I think the GM product was a much nicer vehicle, more comfortable and likely faster vehicle..plus you can tow with it and flat tow it if necessary. FWIW we also are interested in the AT4, for the offroad package but after living with the Denali for some days our experience was so good it has us looking at leasing a 2025 short model for the foreseeable future.
