Clear coat peeling around door handle

see attached pictures. The door handle is the passenger rear.

What is my best course of action with this?
It’s a 2005 Z71, with the Bermuda blue metallic paint.
I’m debating on using a straight edge to cut the loose bits of clear coat so it doesn’t peel up too much but am open to other ideas. This is the only spot on the vehicle doing this that I was able to find after a close inspection.

I had an '88 GMC truck.....( metallic brown) I practically razor bladed the entire truck's peeling clear coat.

Get a new straight razor blade, and dull it. ( Too sharp and it will cut into color coat)...

Then take it next year to a paint shop as the peeling clear will s p r e a d !!

What are your thoughts on getting the loose bits off with a straight edge and then using the AC Delco lacquer clear coat to seal the edges?
