But yea u really never beat the system so you are going to have to go to court and most likely loose. I wohld argue that the vehicle was being repaired at the time and if you have reciepts as priof they could throw it out. Hope yoy do or if you know people get a reciept mad of riht before the ticket summon thing![]()
I know you didn't, which was exactly my point. As you see, the post I quoted mentioned it and that's why I brought it up while quoting his/her post.
Look up the term "fresh pursuit".
We've obviously gotten off topic here.
Just because you couldn't find the ordinance on the Internet doesn't mean it doesn't exist.. How about physically calling them and asking instead of chalking it up as "they were wrong, couldn't find the oridinance on the Internet, shoot the cops, they are breaking the law!"
Just to quickly state in tx yes its legal to shoot if their on your property. I havnt looked at the law in a bit but if i remember correctly just if they tresspass then you have a warning shot if im wrong then its if they try to get in the house dont remember but yea its totally legall in tx and az and i think florida
Apparently if two people misinterpreted what you said Domin8, then the problem is your wording.
I'm glad that the OP asked you how to settle the issue. I'd still encourage you to call and ask specifically since you've obviously ran into the ground finding information on the Internet.

While I dont necessarily agree with this type of citation, every state has its own laws.
BUT, I would not consider any Officer of the Law trespassing, regardless of the situation. They are a marked item, meaning they wear a uniform to inform EVERYONE who they are never mind there great big Police car, marked or unmarked. If they are on your property, its more than likely for a reason. Saying you would shoot an officer is absolutely rediculous, warning or not. The only way that will end, especially now-a-days is in a coffin and yes I mean you, not the officer.
Where's Yates? He'll fix that.
