Is it possible to remove only the chrome strip on the side door molding of an LTZ or would the entire piece need to be replaced?

The entire piece needs to be removed for it to look right.

Technically they're 2 pieces, but it will not look right with just the chrome removed. It will literally look like a part is missing.

To make it look correct, you'll need to remove the entire molding.

What are you gonna do with the molding once you remove it? I know someone who might want it. ;) I'm actually undecided between that and the Esky side molding.

Probably trash it. One side the chrome is kinda messed up. Looks like someone washed it with a brillo pad. Might be able to polish it out though. I will snap some pics.

Yeah you cant use that molding with the chrome only or painted part only, it wont fit correctly. Especially if you left just the chrome. Chrome mounts behind the painted piece with tape.

Clean07Burb - Escalade molding looks amazing. I have it on my Tahoe. Clean as hell look.

I know. It looks amazing! I'm seriously contemplating buying the set that Burbin has for sale right now.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the escalade, denali and ltz with chrome strip moldings?

I really want the look of the chrome strip on my 07 tahoe however I want to be able to get them already color matched. Mine is white.

Denali and LTZ are the same. Escalade just has a small chrome strip and that's it. Remember that they made 2 or 3 different "whites" so you need to make sure it's the same "white"

Thanks for the post. I could not find a big enough pic like that. The indention above the molding on the escalade was throwing me off. I thought they had the exact same doors. I kind of like the look of the escalade moldings I am going to do some searching and see what they look like on a tahoe/yukon. Im not trying to add to much chrome to my tahoe just little things here and there to give it the luxury look.

There's people here who have done it on a Tahoe... Fiatdale I think has them

Can you shave the escalade chrome moulding? I thought they actually have holes behind them?
