My beloved 2004 LT...
Despite correct tire pressure; for the past year my TPMS light (and Check Tire Pressure DIC) has been on, but I've ignored it presuming I would replace the faulty sensors at the same time I replaced my tires. Finally installed pricey LTX MS2's on my Hoe and the shop informed me my sensors were fine (in fact, I watched them confirm each sensor with that "chirp").
No sooner than leaving the lot the warning light popped back on. The mechanic said it was something wrong with my "computer" and advised me to continue ignoring it, unless I wanted to pay big money at the dealership. The Chevy dealership here in Jacksonville is clueless to fixing the problem - and I can't afford to pay them any more to learn how to fix the vehicles they sell.
What is this "computer"? Can I replace it myself?
