Center Console - what is this for?

I drive a 2001 Suburban LT. Inside the center console, there is a circle to the right of the coin holders? What is it for? Is it for optional passenger/wife ejection seat? Thanks for the help.

Can u pop it off? Kinda looks like a cigarate lighter option that u don't have

Before I installed my Denali console, I had drilled that circle out and installed another 12v plug. Fit was perfect, so it's my guess that is what the factory had intended to go there.

Exactly what he said. It's an optional plug for another 12v lighter.

It's not a cover/plug, it's molded in. I have never seen a factory outlet there. My Suburban already has 3 in the dash and 1 one on the back of the center console. Time to drill it out and figure out something to put there. Thanks for the help.

My denali has a 12v plug there!!

Turn it into a 2 USB port. Can charge 2 iPhones then. I have that issue since we run 2 iPhones and 2 iPads in my burban. Trying to charge em all suck.

Good suggestions. I dont need any more outlets. I may relocate my bass knob to that location. Still undecided.

My denali has a 12v plug there!!

my 06 denali also has a 12v plug in there. sitting in the drivers seat mine is in the right rear corner of the center console and my change storage is on the drivers side of the console.

I thought about wife ejection seat, but she is not allowed in the Burb anyways.
