center consol ?

I apology if it's been asked before I couldn't find info. so, my 07 burban has the bench seat up front but i want the full center consol that goes to/under the dash. installing a brand-new dash as well, 1300 for that lol. I got the consol from the local pick a part, and all associated hardware. I have a bench seat it looks like it's just bucket sets with the "center seat" separate. is that true or do I need new seats? asking here so I can go grab seats if needed before I tear apart my only vehicle lol

I have an 07 with bucket seats and a center console. I can state that if I had bench seats, this center console that I currently have definitely would not fit.

So gross! I see people selling cars that look like that, That just screams I DON'T DO ANY MAINTENANCE!

I would be very suprised if it's not a straight swap. There is very little chance that GM made two different styles of bucket seats. The factory subwoofer bolts in under the center console, find one of those in the junk yard. I hid both my C.B and GMSR under there as well.
The dash swap isn't so bad. You have to remove the passenger air bag or the rest won't come out. Popping out the grill right behind the windshield without breaking it was difficult.
A set of those little orange plastic pry tools is worth every penny.

Please post back pics with results!! I plan on doing the same swap at some point and was wondering if it was a direct fit also. My kids are grown up now so I dont need the center seat anymore but there was a few times back in the day I used it and had the Burb loaded with 9!

If your steering wheel is in good shape, tape it. It maybe worth it to lower steering column or remove wheel even.

That was the only stressful part, squeezing new dash over and around the steering wheel/stalk/column.

I ended up knicking the back of my steering wheel a little.

Paying thru the nose for it is the most painful part of replacing GM's crappy dashboard.. with the same crappy dashboard..

i may get some sheet metal and reinforce the dash. what yall think? a thin layer of sheet metal attached and outened to the dash to strengthen it?
