Interesting..... I don't find any ignition module type parts in Rock Auto.
Yeah, not gonna find it. Go back and ask your guy what he meant.

That's because your engine doesn't have such a thing! That's what I was trying to say.Interesting..... I don't find any ignition module type parts in Rock Auto.
The OP didn't know the ignition switch is easy to replace. Does the key stay the same? Where does the OP get the new switch? I'll look for a Youtube on it. At this point the most likely causes are:It's too bad that maybe OP does not have a few tools and a little knowledge because that ignition switch is easy to replace. there is an updated switch that is easy to verify. The old switch was all black. The updated one has a grey side on it. Unless of course they have switched back to all black.
Use anything but Dorman, if you can.Looks like the GM part number is 15242754.
GM parts direct says - no longer available.
Sure, but not sure how to find something else. I'll look again on RockAuto.Use anything but Dorman, if you can.
Be aware that you should have aligned the gear teeth of the new one to the same place as the old one. BUT, if the old one was a tooth off, you may be installing a new switch with the wrong gear alignment. That happened to me on my girl's 2002 TrailBlazer. Luckily, I figured it out. IIRC, the gear alignment can have the fat spot showing and still intermittently start just fine but every now and then will not crank the engine unless you really roll the key. IIRC the fat spot should be hidden when all teeth are in alignment.I put in a new switch and cleared the codes. I'll drive it a bit and see what shows. up.
Your radio is working correctly. Should stay on till open door or times out at about 10-15 minutes.
Okay that helps.
I think if I have the radio on while engine is running...
Then turn key to off everything should go off except the radio.
If I open and close the door the radio will go off. ? Right.
