CDs are locked in 6-disc changer

On my 1999 denali, I have the cassette-style holder for 6 cds, and it goes into the center console changer unit. when the stereo was installed, i thought I emptied it, but I am missing some cds and I swear they are in there. what can I do to get them out? is there a manual release for the changer, or a way to hook power up to it for one final ejection cycle?
