2023 Yukon camera. Should the various camera views be available while driving at speeds over 10mph?

No, only a very limited number of them...Hitch View is one, as is front and rear facing, The owner's manual indicates which ones can be accessed when going more than 8MPH...see example below:

This is a stupid feature they added, my 2020 Tahoe would keep the camera on at any speed for some time. The GMC 2023 i dont even have the option and is a huge pain when off roading. I did rent a 2023 GMC Yukon once while out of town and it had ALL camera options available at speed and they did not turn off. Im wondering if there is a setting or bootleg fix for this like pulling a fuse or flashing something. I do a lot of off roading and having the ability to see the road is important.

I think it depends on the market. My Canadian spec allows all camera views at any speed. I've heard from several reviews the US spec limits camera usage above 8 mph (plus the manual).

Bump to top, has anyone found a way to keep the forward facing camera or any other camera on past 10mph? I off road a lot and going over hill crests or climbs its a huge pain to have to slow down and hunt and click the button only to have the view turn off. Sometimes the car glitches and the camera will stay on until you put it in park... but 95% of the time it auto turns off after 10mph.

I have a 2023 Denali and the front and rear camera stay on at any given speed and do not turn off until I hit the X. My 2022 Denali only lasted 8 seconds before it auto shut-off. I bought the 2023 used so I don't know if the previous owner did anything special to it. Service records don't show any work for this feature being modified.

Actually, all the views are available while driving and don't turn off. This was at about 45mph.

I had a rental Yukon and the same thing would happen, it would stay on at any speed. I was confused as to why and could not figure out why it did that. Looks like yours is doing the same.

Im wondering did yours come with the Auto On/Off engine kill option for when you stop or was that dealer disabled as they had that as an option post Covid. wondering if maybe you have that disabled and thats what causing your camera to also stay on?

No, the auto on/off is installed and active. This rig came with the max trailering package whereas my 22 didn't. Not sure if that matters.

My 25 HC I can have the camera up at any speed for any duration until I x out. That being said, the rear camera is almost useless because it is very wide. I can barley see the vehicle behind me in the rear view, but if I look up it is only about 10 ft behind me.
