CAI Exterior Vent?

I have a CAI, performance MAF sensor, performance throttle body, MBRP exhaust, and Diablo tuner.
My 2019 Tahoe rides and sounds great, not too loud, has a little extra power when needed, etc.
My K&N CAI does not have a heat shield which I've been thinking about building one.

My question here is, has anyone themselves, or what are your thoughts on adding a vent for my CAI?
Do you think its worth it since I could probably allow it to get much more air and colder air.
I could add a hood vent, side vent, or maybe create a vent through the bottom with PVC or metal.

Thoughts? Best option? Think it's worth looking into, or just leave the damn thing alone?

The reality is that if you are drawing air from the engine bay, you do not have a true CAI setup, no matter what the brand advertisement says. I don't know what the OEM air intake setup is on the 2019 Tahoe, but for my 2007 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2L motor, the OEM intake air setup is a true CAI with the intake air coming from inside the front quarter panel fender, and not the engine bay. So, I believe that what you are contemplating is pretty close to what my truck already has as OEM.

there is really no additional benefit to doing that if you have a box around it already because the air is drawn in from under the front right bumper anyway
I put this one on mine, it atleast has some shielding, without a box around it then doing that is pointless anyway.
