Cadillac headphones - Yukon xl

hello all, another question here. Our 2018 Yukon came with 2 gmc headphones and 2 Cadillac ones. The gmcs work fine but can’t get the Cadillac ones to sync, any suggestions? Just peeled the plastic off of them and put batteries in and tried changing sources, nothing happens. We are leaving for a road trip in the morning so any help would greatly be appreciated.

they are infra red just change the channel on the headphones (they do not "sync") as they are two channel, the 2019 ones work on my 2012 so they should work on yours without issue

Not sure which Cadillac ones you have but there are 2 kinds. Platinum Escalades have 3 separate info systems for the back. The 2 drop down screens, similar to the Suburban and Yukon’s, is one system. The other 2 systems are each inside the back of the front seat head rests. Each head rest operates individually and separate from the drop down screens.

The headphones for the head rest are slightly different (different part number) than the other ones. They have channels so you can switch between screens.

Maybe you just need to set the right channel on the Cadillac headphones, or maybe your Cadillac headphones are the wrong ones.

Another easy option since you’re traveling tomorrow is to just play the movie over the back speakers so no headphones are needed. Not sure what you’re passenger dynamics are and if that’s a possibility. But we actually do this most of the time to keep it simple.
