Have an 03 Tahoe and am hearing a kind of loud buzzing noise that I think is coming from the gauges. Looked into it and some say could be the stepper motors. All my gauges work, but the noise is annoying as hell! Should I take to the Chevy dealership to get it looked at?

Pop the gauge cluster out. You'll need a small flathead, Phillips head, and a 7 or 8mm 1/4 drive socket with an extension. You don't need to fully remove it but it will be an easy way to isolate if it's the cluster or something nearby.
Replacing the stepper motors isn't terribly difficult if you have experience soldering, else I'd take it to someone else. Gmgaugerepair.com offers some pertinent services. If you take it to the dealer I'd expect them to replace your whole cluster rather than individual components. It's a liability thing
