Well, i don’t know how far back in automotive history we’d have to go when the operators were all technically trained persons but, i mean, i agree with your point. Wouldn’t it be great if auto technology and design stayed the same forever as it was in its plateau in 1997?

Fact is. most people buy new cars because they just don’t WANT to mess with them. Car culture is dying out worldwide, us motorheads are the minority. We can keep it alive to an extent, but the automotive sector is now dominated by tech.
