Brake it

I put Detroit Axle pads and rotors on the '17 Denali XL, was surprised and somewhat disappointed that the pads only lasted a little over a year. Is this normal for stopping this Land Yacht or is my Wife's driving it like a Mini Cooper to blame or was it a cheap pad?
I changed the pads out yesterday with O'Reilly brand Brake Best Select Ceramic pads, I wrote down the time and date of the pad install to see how long they last before I have to change those out.

I can't tell you from personal experience, but I've 'heard' from folks that Detroit Axle's reputation for quality products has taken a hit in recent years.

I got 3+ years out of a set of pads (installed by the previous owner), and I drive my truck pretty hard.

Looks like I might owe my Wife an apology, hopefully she never finds out!
I say we call it even since she gripes at me for leaving the toilet seat up!

The OEM pads were made by Akebono and I'm still running the originals on my 2012 at 145K miles.

You'd think, but probably 25K of those are towing miles as well.
