I have a 2002 tahoe ls 4wd and have noticed a problem when braking at slow speeds (10mph and less). What happens it the brake pedal kinda siezes up but feels kinda mushy and pulses but the truck keeps moving. To stop it I have to release the brake which resets it and then brake hard to make up for lost distance. It really sucked especially when I went to park and I almost hit the car in front of me. I gotta roll in the Caddy now cause I don't trust my 'hoe. Any feedback will be greatly apprieciated.

Its warped brake rotors or a faulty ABS system.
Doubt its ABS because the ABS light would turn on if so.

I agree w/Modded - sounds like warped rotors... Also, you may have a little air in the system. Symptom is usually from the front rotors - they heat up dramatically because they get the majority of the braking duties. I learned the hard way that the front wheel lugs need to be cross-torqued by hand in three sequences. I start with 40lbs, then 80lbs then finish off with 130lbs. Good luck.
