Anyone installed a brake controller? I have a 2017 Yukon. Thought it was going to be an easy install. Looked under the IP driver side and don't see any hookup. Not seeing too much on this. Any idea? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon. Someone will chime in with help.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Should be a bundle of wires cut and taped off right above left knee under dash. You need to splice them, no plug. Plus some hook ups under hood. Easy stuff

what pete said, the other 2 wires are under the hood one is tucked down between the fuse box and fender (red wire) and the other is taped to the main harness down by the steering arm area also a (red wire) they connect to the open post's on the outside front of the fuse box, you "might" have to put a fuse in I think it would take a 30a the bigger one not the micro fuse type

The older body styles had a pigtail & connector tied up under the dash; yours plugs directly into the electrical block. It looks to me like you have the right pigtail.

eTrailer has videos showing the inside cab installation. As @Doubeleive mentioned, there are a couple of connections to make in the underhood fusebox, one for the trailer brakes, and the other (optional) one to send power back to the trailer, like to maintain charge on an RV battery while you drive. eTrailer has other good videos on installations.

Black Limited. It’s obvious you did not even read PNW VietVet’s post before posting your comment.

PNW VietVet makes zero guesses or even recommendations specific to the OP’s question at all. In fact he’s advising OP (and all members for that matter) to make sure to post all of your vehicle details, specific factory options, any aftermarket upgrades or mods installed etc on your vehicle when posting on the forum requesting advise, help, input, or direction for any owners specific situation.

If we could get every member to post that info and keep it updated it would remove so many of the back and forth posts trying to get the info and will help expedite results. As a former service manager, I always started out with these types of questions and many more.
