Brake controller wiring?

Hey guys I have an 03 Yukon xl base model. 5.3 4x4. I am looking into installing a trailer hitch. I noticed a 4 wire setup coiled up in the frame rail, which is a good start. I wonder for a brake controller if there is some pre-existing wiring or if it has to be started from the battery?

Look under the dash above the brake pedal. Should be a bundle of wires there. Will likely need to do some wiring under the hood as well.
