Regarding rear brakes, when the caliper is removed, should there be any noticeable wobble of the individual (loose) pins in the bracket holes?
The pins were greasy and appear to be chromed and are without bear spots in the coating so if the slight wiggle is abnormal I'd wonder if it's the fault of the bracket holes rather than the pins. I think the pins are original but may have been changed once with the caliper(s). The truck has 140,000 miles in 18 years.
Cleaning off the old grease and applying new seems to firm up the fit.
