And on top of this shit that's coming in, came across some Speed Engineering headers on Facebook and picked those up for a fair price. Won't do much, but I figured why not? Should give the hoopty a little more sound, but not too much to be annoying.

How long?

Brand new?
I'd venture to say yes. Never installed, though they've been sitting for a bit.

How long?
They aren't long ones, basically just shorty replacements. Should bolt right up without having to modify the exhaust any. Gains are minimal, claim around 15 HP... figured it would only help since this Hoe is getting long in the tooth now-a-days.

I'm glad that I pulled this trigger. Some minor things still need work but the fit is awesome. Also need to reach out to the company about the headlights. Realized that they didnt send me smoked ones to match the turns... after I stepped back to look at the finished product. Oh well, I can fix that.

Grille will be altered to fill the gap next to the inside of the headlights. Tomorrow will be fixing the front fender flare.

So much work that's starting to take shape. My vision is slowly becoming a reality. Trying to do all the measurements without having things to actually mock up is fun. Thank you to everyone that took a random measurement for me.

▪ HD bumper cap

@ArcticYukon my bad , we used the oem diffuser lens but swapped clear reflectors. I was thinking of another set I did right after. We did talk about using the crystal clear lens but I talked him out of it.

Damn... I was hoping you were gonna give me a hack to make that work.

I know lol... I'm very impressed. I have NOW fallen in love with this thing lol. It's finally different enough yet still subtle to be awesome to me.

I really should discard my Denali/HD bumper plans and go with an HD/SS combination... lmao.

... Nah, I've seen the HD SS bumper before.

Definitely unique :) I'll be interested to see how it is once all finished and it's 100% buttoned up.

We need some before and after side by side comparison pics so we can see the difference.

See, I just can't actually like that style hood. It's lines just don't match anything else on the truck... and that bothers me.

But to each their own. I'm sure it looks pretty decent in person.

Figured out how I am going to clean up the fenders and have an idea how I can build the other flare since the idea I used on the passenger side somewhat failed on me for the driver side, so now to figure out how to maintain the front and back positions while pushing out the wheel arch without distorting the edge that lines up with the fender...

It is somewhat fun, I promise. Though tedious and slow. I should have just glassed the entire damned fender. lol.

But I have a plan for the grille, which involves building a mesh overlay, so I get to figure that one out.

I also REALLY REALLY REALLY need to start getting rid of random parts I have laying around the garage. I have a lot of them.

But for the time being, I have to try and get this drawing done that I am working on for my brother. He'll be here in a couple weeks and this one is important to finish so I have to put the Tahoe to the side and focus on this. Not a big deal, weather turned to shit again so I really don't want to be outside in the cold and rain.
