After inspecting the front end after hearing some funky noises coming from the front, I notice a lot of oiil dripping off of the front passenger strut. It's been a few weeks since now and i think it's pretty much blown. It has approx 30k miles on it! Is this a common issue? It is an 07 LTZ. I didn't find anything when searching through the TSB's.

Not that it's directly related but I had a strut on the wife's Lexus blow at 8,000 miles. I found oil in a weird spot in the garage, made sure it wasn't brake fluid and took it in. Told the dealer I thought it was oil leaking from the front strut and he said I was right, luckily it was replaced under warranty.

I am 99% sure the noise I have is coming from the front passenger strut. It clunks and squeaks when i'm on any uneven pavement, driveway curb, etc. The strut and spring is coated in oil, so i'm pretty sure it has lost all of its fluid. a few weeks back on the tahoeforum board, someone posted a link to the TSB for faulty struts, but i am not able to find it. I have scanned through all of the current TSB's and can't find it.

I just saw the faulty TSB strut writing the other day!!!
Its way more common among those with Autoride (black and orange shock), do you have Autoride?

Yes, I have autoride...

I am taking it to the dealer next week to have the tranny(2nd gear slipping/over revving problem) and some other things looked at, so I will have them check the front struts as well.

It was a blown strut. It is on backorder for a minimum of 3wks, so it must be a common issue. In addition to the blown strut, I have a tranny leak and oil (main rear seal) leak. Damn... pretty sad for a vehicle with 30k easy miles on it. :(
