 I don't know  I've never researched doing the mod :) I'll be interested to hear what others say, though.

Guys my goal is to have this brand new in two years. If I save 1,800 a month I can buy it straight up cash in two years. Thats my goal.

ALSO it will never receive a single mod. It'll be stock its whole life all the way down to the tires.

I wouldn't buy it all with cash. If you put 38 down and then have a few payments it'll build your credit. Also 1,800 a month is a lot to save.

Have you keyed in costs like insurance, gas, repairs and mod money (we all know no one can simply not mod).

Seems it would be much smarter to buy used with low miles. Most of the people on this forum don't buy new and they're pretty money smart so I would take notes. Also that way you aren't losing so much money once you drive off the lot.

I have bought more cars than I can shake a stick at........

Any vehicle is a depreciating asset....... and not worth what you paid for at the end.

I would NEVER again in my life buy a brand new car.

43K is a lot of money........

^^ Especially at 20. I would much rather put the money into something that will pay itself off. Not something that loses money with each mile. Some people at 20 make 43k a year.

I'll never buy brand new again either. Been there, done that and would rather someone else take that kick to the balls. What Marcus said is pretty right on. I'm 100% in for paying cash, though. Plop down the cash, get a killer deal, but look at 1 to 2 year old low mileage. It's still a depreciating asset but it's a less of an immediate hit than the brand new route.

That esky cluster can be done. If you look in the comments, whoever did it got the connectors off the escalade to plug in to it, and also got the electronic schematic and basically rewired the dash plug. As others mentioned, he has a SEL on and I heard that's one thing others have had as well.

Well I could buy used either way in two years ill have the pictured truck and I won't make payments on it because I don't want to pay interested. When I buy it it will be in cash.
