Thanks, I appreciate it.I tried the plastic dip too and didn't like the results. The wrap holds up perfectly. I just finished wrapping all of the fake wood trim pieces with satin black wrap. Love the way it looks I'll post pics tomorrow.

I have this grille setup. Top and Lower. Quality for the top piece is about an 8/10 while the lower is more of a 5/10 (Does not fit as well as OEM). Bought off Ebay for less than $200.00 shipped

Not intending to steal the thread but do you have a writeup on how you wrapped the wood trim? Been wanting to do this for quite some time but I'm not sure of the best way.

I can only take credit for wrapping the 3 pieces on the dash. First thing is carefully pull off the 3 pieces from the dash. The two small ones on each side of the instrument panel come off easy. It's the long piece below the air bag u need to be careful with. Remember it's all plastic just have to be gentle. The wrap I used is a 3M satin wrap that stretches around corners and curves pretty easily. I recommend laying the wrap down first then work from one end all the way around. A heat gun can help to really set it. It just takes patience and it might take a few attempts to get it right. As far as the door pieces, I paid my tint guy to do it. For a 17 year old kid he has some skills. He wrapped his own car and I was seriously impressed on how it came out.

The GMC logo center is not punched correctly.

I bought the grill last September for about 170.00 for both pieces. The description said 07-09 but if fit perfect. I just had to trim a lil so that the black billet emblem would line up very minimal trimming because the billet emblem is held on by screws not clips. Also I vinyl wrapped the chrome trim to match.

All I find is this..........

The "G" and the "C" do not have proper holes cutout like the OEM Charome Denali grill.

They must have changed the mold.

That's the problem.

See on the top part /intro picture the show the OEM style.

Later in the description it changes to the other style.

Why don't you just powder coat the stock denali grill ? That's what I was planning on doing everything will fit perfect ,no fitment issues like the eBay reps

Okay So found this in Amazon.

This SUCKS if it is really true.

So this means that they INDEED did change the mold. So the TYF members that posted their grills earlier have older copies, and basically got lucky.

So if anyone buys them now, obviously you would get the newer style. This of course unless you get a vendor that has the old unit / inventory sitting around.

I suppose the only way to find out would be to buy it and open the box and see.

Does this grill match the picture - do the letters match esactly what is shown?

we sell this grille just like the picture showed. Since this is an aftermarket grille, the "GMC" letter can not be the same as oem does due to oem copyright.
