I plan I doing the big 3 on my 93 blazer soon. The wire from my alternator goes down to the starter then up to the battery. Do I just replace the positive from the battery to the alternator and leave the factory wire in place for the starter and disconnect the one that ran to the battery, or Do I need to run it down to the starter and back up like the factory.

Leave factory wire, just add from battery to Alt.

unknown at this time.
there is nothing wrong with retrofitting the cabling system to reflect the more modern system and not run it thru the barrier strip like stock. but you still want a connection from the new wiring on barrier to feed the barrier strip.

Could I run the wire from the alt to the rear of it for my second battery and leave the factory wire for my starting battery up front?
