I can't help you, but other folks will chime in.

Is this preventative, or do you have a known sludge issue?

I dont have a problem at the moment. I already threw everything at my motor over the years to clean it out. This seems like a more comprehensive system and process, and I just opened it up for discussion as there have been countless other discussions about 'snake oil' products.

IIRC this is not really available to the public. John Ross seems to think it works pretty good, and he isnt trying to sell it to anybody.

yeah you have to go to a retailer and they will do the 'service'.... but seems readily available.

I wonder how this would compare to something simpler, like running a few quarts of ATF.

They said it themselves in the video - three consecutive oil changes would clean out most engines.

I would say its a time component. This stuff gets your junk clean in a day. ATF will take a couple thousand miles to really make any impact.

Sandpaper versus a chainsaw.

What will clog your oil galleries faster, sandpaper dust? Or chain saw chips?

Well you gotta bring 3 oil filters for this process. So they kinda cover that angle.

I dont think that throwing a bottle of draino in the crankcase is a good idea. It is snake oil IMO, However if you pay like $350 for the service the cost alone will sway you into thinking it did somthing! Modern oils just dont require this crap anymore and back in the parafin based penzoil days you wanted the ball of sludge that coated every rocker to stay right where it was! Leave the vascular system of your engine alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:893Chainsaw-Smilie-:893Chainsaw-Smilie-:893Chainsaw-Smilie-

Former dealer mechanic here.
I liked the BG trans flush.
The fuel system clean worked, but so does seafoam.
The rest is bunk.
BG drops tons of equipment off at every shop/dealer.... and pays a spiff to the service writer & the mechanic for every BG service performed.
