I like that plan. No worries about warranty coverage with added on wiring.
I used the trailer connector on mine ( I can’t tow with it anyway, show truck) and ran a wire all the way up the frame to the engine compartment where the tender is mounted. That way when I back it into my driveway I just have a short extension cord that goes from my garage door to the rear bumper and there’s no cord across the driveway. You could add a second trailer connector to the rear if you wanted to do that or put it somewhere else.

I have a 2023 Denali with 15K miles on it. I only drive it once a week. A couple months ago it barely had enough amps to start and then this AM the battery was dead, Could not start it. It seems to me that letting a rig sit for up to a week should not be enough downtime for the battery to be dying. Does anyone have problems with a battery draw down on their yukon? Very Frustrating. Ill probably try putting a new batter in and see what happens. sigh
I also have the same issue with my 2021 Yukon Denali. Practically from the time I got it, if it sets for several days the battery would be low. Like there is a drain. A couple of months ago after driving it, I parked for a few minutes then couldn't start it. The battery was completely dead. After the battery was replaced, I no longer have the problem. It can set for a week and it seems to still be fully charged. I'm now wondering about the amp capacity of the battery that comes with the new vehicle, as compared to the replacement. Did I get a low capacity or defective battery to begin with. I also wonder if there was an update downloaded that maybe corrected the drain issue. I got very tired of the dealer telling me there was nothing wrong and that I should just drive it more.

FWIW I've heard of the key fobs being left too close (inside the house) which can leave a few modules on.
I keep my key fob in a faraday pouch. I had battery problems from the beginning. I don't know if its a parasitic drain or a bad battery. The dealer testing it does no good, right up until it left me stranded.

What is the Hotel circuit?

It's the auxiliary 12v connection to a trailer ("hotel") that can charge/maintain the trailer battery and/or the emergency brake battery.

There are several industry standards for which pins serve certain purposes, but look at the cover of your 7-pin connector and the wiring may be molded onto that cover. Yours probably uses the "traditional" connections as shown below. Inside the socket: 1 o'clock is the hotel/aux positive; 7 o'clock is the ground for everything (lights, electric brakes, and power circuits).

Might do some research and check the build date of your Yukon vs the sell date when you got it. A battery sitting on the dealer lot for 6 or 8 months and left discharged for a time might have had a sufate build up on the plates and that kills capacity. Usually the OE battery is a real workhorse for many years.

Have you got a ampmeter you can put on the battery cable to see if you have a parasitic drain? The battery on my 17 Tahoe had a 6 amp draw, the mechanic I took it to didn't believe me until he checked himself. Long story short, we replaced the passengers heated seat module and all is well I HATE PARASITIC DRAINS!

Same issue with my 2020 Denali. Battery life was only 11 months. I dug around on the internet and found if key fob or fobs are left in your Denali or within about 6 feet, the vehicle tries to communicate with the fob and causes the battery of the vehicle to die. Present battery’s life is 18 months and still going since bringing fobs into kitchen. I don’t think adding a battery tender is a correct solution, yet.

My 2022 Denali Yujib i bought used at 70,000 miles had “random battery drain”. Messed with it for months. About 4 x per month…dead in the morning. Short term, I carried a spare battery in a marine battery box and a set of jumpers. Got good at jumping it fast. Eventually, I took the car into a dealer for service and they said the car battery was not bad, they also “Updated the software on some of the modules”. Completely fixed it. I has been about a year and no issues.

I took the vehicle to a local GMC dealership and told them I had a drain issue. All they did was test the battery then tell me there was no issue. I sent them a list of issues that I have found on the internet and told them to try again. They are keeping it another day. We will see what happens. I am not optimistic that they have the skills necessary to problem solve and find the drain. Luckily I still have my 2003 suburban w/ 3003K miles that runs great and I can drive that while they fumble around with my 2023 Denali. Frustrated.

I have a 2021 Denali and have the same issue, only it used to take only 3 days to drain my battery. It was like this from the day I bought it. Several months ago I had the battery replaced and so far haven't had any more battery issues. I'm wondering if the problem is the batteries that come with the vehicle don't have enough capacity, or they are defective.

I had battery problems on my 2021 Denali. Battery was always low. I keep the fob in the house in a faraday pouch. The dealer checked the battery and denied anything was wrong, that I just need to drive it more. It would go nearly dead from setting 3 days. After all of this nonsense, it seems so far that a new battery fixed the issue. My driving habits haven't changed and my battery always has a good charge now. I think the manufacturer puts some lousy batteries in these vehicles.
