I just got back from a year long deployment and dont know how often people are getting bad batches of gas. I had about a half tank already and did some moving around for my buddy so he put $30 in my tank which is roughly about 10 gallons of 87 octane fuel. Well I drove about 4-5 miles after filling it up. When I excellerated from a intersection I noticed I wasnt getting proper response, almost as if I have a misfiring cylinder. There is no check engine light, no smoke from the exhaust. The exhaust is still putting out good amount of pressure and the fuel filter was replaced roughly about 9 months ago. Anyone ever had this problem or similar problem? I already added 108 octane booster to see if that would help but I still dont see a difference. Anything would be appreciative.

may have built up jelled gasoline somewhere in the system. Gas shouldn't sit in a car, unstarted for that long.

I just replaced the fuel filter even though it was replaced like 9 months ago or so. But filter looked fine. I am also going to do a cylinder check and see if it smoothes out. Hoping it does and it just ends up being a bad spark plug. TBA later.

It could be that the gas may have jelled up. I recently bought it from a guy about a week ago and he said that it would sit in his yard from time to time. He used it as a trail rig. Thing is though I have already gone through almost a tank of gas already since owning it and when I did put a little bit more gas in, it starts acting up not 10 min's after.
