Hey everyone just going into my first winter with the Yukon and just wondering what to expect with the AWD. We get a decent amount of snow from time to time and taking it hunting up north we hit some pretty good amounts just wonder what other owners experienced in theirs. Thanks.

im sure others have more experience with their trucks in the snow, but i have an awd Denali and it was really good in the snow for me last season... i think with some better tires it would be amazing. it was wearing oem Michelin h/t tires and this season it will be wearing some nice A/T tires. Ive had a bunch of vehicles from trucks to cars and this is in my top few... mine has the traction control and stibilitrak so its good to help keep control and then to have some fun just turn it off

i dont know that i could feel the diff kick in, but when the back end started to kick out to the side or slip the you could feel the gas pedal pulse alittle and i believe that is the TC kicking in....

You have the newer transfercase without a viscous coupler. After 2002 the awd is based off abs input rather than the tcase transferring power by itself. That was before I dropped it more too lol.
