I believe the AUX video input is in the rear of the console. There should be a set of RCA inputs back there if you have the overhead monitor installed. I personally do not have this option, but I have seen this on other trucks.

i dont have the rear monitor. just the nav. seems like they would have disabled this option if no video input is there. (especially knowing how much gm loves to disable stuff).

With no RSE your Nav unit only plays CD's not DVD's so no video input??

thats what i thought, but it seems wierd that it allows me to select video input as a source. it even allows a full screen(though blank) when in park, then says disabled when moving. this makes me think that somewhere/somehow there is or can be a video input. has anyone ever traced where the aux input from the RSE plugs into the back of the radio?

The AUX input on the rear console for the RSE is a removable piece, which includes the rear climate controls, the electric outlet, and inputs if equipped. You would just need to buy that part alone and the harness from your old one plugs in.

That way, you could at least watch videos on the nav up front. The nav comes with the video input option regardless of whether you have RSE or not. I guess this is to make it easier to install and program an aftermarket RSE.

sweet. how do i remove the piece with the rear climate controls. gmpartsdirect lists an audio/video adapter, which should be the aux video input. the wire harness looks the same for both rse and non-rse i wanna see if there is a connection open on the harness that the a/v adapter plugs into.
