Anyone install a catch can kit on a 6.2L?

They pretty much all perform the same function. What you pay for is component and build quality, capacity, how vehicle-specific/plug-and-play it is and/or just the brand name. Some have gimmicky features that are useless in general (such as a dipstick) or just useless on our trucks (such as a breather filter).
There are $20 ones on Amazon that function just as well as the $400 big name brand ones. The Amazon ones just don't have CNC'ed billet mounting brackets and braided stainless steel AN hoses.
Do you have any idea of how much oil is passing through your PCV system? This would determine the capacity you need. Otherwise you might just have to empty it more often if your engine is passing a lot of oil. How handy and/or flashy and/or rich and/or thrifty are you?

I installed a JLT brand oil catch can on my 6.2 at a cost of ~$150. As @iamdub states above, all of the brands accomplish the same objective, so no need to spend a lot of money (like I did). I collect about 1 fluid ounce of oil every 1000 miles driven.

Have a link? There are some that look the part, but they cut corners on some of the pieces, such as having a mild steel baffle instead of aluminum or stainless. Also, if it didn't come with one, a stainless scrub pad is a helpful addition.

That's not like the ones I was picturing. That's a pretty nice unit, especially being application-specific for $75. It's the ~$20 ones sold under countless brand names that need to be checked into. You're all good.
Going too cheap on an oil catch can isn't smart. Improper setups lead to oil ingestion and can cause catastrophic engine failure. Better NOT to have one installed than going cheap. If you want a decent setup for cheap; make it yourself or checkout dual valve setups with proper check valve's and properly designed oil separators. Ask momo - his smartass knows everything

Lol that's funny cos I've been using a "cheap" one on my 800+hp supercharged vette that I built, FOR YEARS without any issues. Same on a few other cars and same with a few other people I know - no "catastrophic" issues, as long as you keep up with it and drain it...
If one understands how it works, there is not much to it behind all the fancy names and "bling". If you go to hotrod shows you will see them using beer cans etc. with custom fittings fabricated, as part of the creativity yet still functional...
The only time you will have a problem is if you install it wrong or let it get full...

I have a JTL on my Denali 6.2l. I like the deep can and the built in drain valve. Mine sits next to the brake fluid reservoir and has a small piece of S.O.S. pad in the can to help collect droplets.
I think they changed their name to J&L, but the product is still the same.

First time responding on here so...
Catch Can story: purchased 2020 RST 6.2L on 5 Dec 2022 w/38k.
Immediately installed Corsa Catch and was amazed at how much was caught after each 3k check. During my drive from Sedona to Florida it occurred to me that this wasn't capturing from the valve covers like previous systems I've used.
After further research it was decided that a UPR Dual Catch system was obviously needed.
I'm attaching multiple pics; two showing Corsa's collection after 3k miles, once in Sedona, once back in Florida. The plastic bottle is what was collected by the UPR system after approximately 3,800 miles.
IMO the extra $300 didn't yield anymore benefit than the cheaper Corsa system.
Too bad I've already sold the Corsa system or else the UPR would be going up on FB Marketplace just to declutter the engine bay alone lol.
NOTE- for those that noticed; yes, I also did the vacuum pump delete as evidenced by the horizontal brake booster hose.

I went with the UPR kit. Super easy install. Nice quality parts. I dump maybe 1-3 tablespoons of oil from it every 400-900 miles. Since install, I’ve been pouring the can out into a repurposed Fiji water bottle. I’m about 1/3 filled on that bottle and I just use it as a visual of what hasn’t gone thru my intake valves.

Can you elaborate on the S.O.S pad in the can idea? I’ve never heard of this and it sounds like a simple improvement. Assuming S.O.S. pad is the same as a Scotch Brite pad.

Im still learning about mods/improvements to do on the 6.2s and was shocked to find this catch can mod. Would this be attributed to bad ring seals? If its a small amount at a time, couldnt you just vent the line down to the ground instead of a catch can? I do similar mods on Harleys and vent the crank case pressure to atmosphere instead of a catch can but the amount of oil deposits are much less than the volumes in some of these pics, unless the rings were completely gone. haha
