I just bought an 01 Yamaha YZFR6.
It's a little beat up but man does it pull hard!
When I bought it it was missing the lower belly fairings and the tail fairing was basically hanging on by a thread(or zip ties as we know them).
Found a great deal on a Sharkskinz tail and new lower tail with lights. Also found some lower fairings on eBay and installed them yesterday.

Let's see what you got. If there is already a thread like this let me know.

Basically as I bought it.

Thanks man. It's my first bike thats not a sport bike since my wife will NOT ride on the back of a rocket. Its a 97 Honda Shadow 1100. I bought it wrecked 4 years ago and did quite a bit of work to make it my own

06 GSXR 1000. Lowered, stretched, tons of bolt on stuff for more power etc. It will roll 50k miles this year and it's still a beast.

I'm very partial to the gixxers but I was told the yamahas are light weight, power is there, and that they are bullet proof.

First bike was a 94 Intruder 800

When I graduated college bought a VTX1800 F2. Sold a few month before my son was born in 2009 (man I miss this bike)

This January I picked up a 92 Intruder 800 for $500. Sat for 7 years... rebuilt the carbs, a new battery, and new tires and she's good to go.
