I am looking for a way to have the center media screen deactivate so the screen will NOT move when the truck is off.
I know I can go into the valet mode, but those are some extra steps to take every single time I exit the vehicle.
I love the 'hidden storage' although I believe every single GMC commercial shows someone using it...so I'm not quite sure how hidden it truly is.

It's a great area to keep my wallet and other concealed items, just wish it would lock when I am not in the vehicle.

nope. dealer & engineer confirmed no way to lock it, except for valet mode.

GM failed on that part :(

Yes, it does seem like an oversight on their part. Let's place this neat, secret compartment on the dash yet allow unsecured access at all times.
IMO that is what the center console is for.

Trying to think about a way to put a cut off switch in a hidden location that would cut off power to the switch when out of the truck, it has to be HOT at all times - wired straight to the +??
