i just got a set for the womans 2003 accord. the lip on the one side is the hub side as i can see no other way to install it. so, how would that taper make the wheel fit once mounted to the car? if the wheels stuck out a little further i wouldnt be heartbroken since the ride will be much better but wouldnt that not allow the wheel to sit properly again the hub?

That's odd. I'll have to pull mine out and look at them again....I seem to remember they looked similiar with a lip like that for some reason.

The smaller part fits inside the wheel and the larger part fills the void between the mounting surface and the back of the wheel assembly, thus removing the shake due to the gap between the wheel and mounting surface.

i understand the concept of them which is why i bought them. so the wheel should still fit flat against the hub then. i hope the taper isnt to much. if anything i can have the machine shop remove the taper. i know the ID and OD are correct.

They're plastic so you will have some room. I'd test fit it first then remove material with a vise and belt sander if you can, unless I'm completely incorrect and they are steel or aluminum.

they are plastic which does make it nice. not such an ordeal to modify as needed. as long as the OD and ID are a nice fit i can handle the rest. thanks for the input guys.
