i had an old 4x4 hard body hoe and it was scratched up and had a massive brush guard and i would sling it on dirt roads throw it in mud holes and run over stuff and i didnt half to worry about someone opening a door into it or a buggy hitting it or limb scratching it and everything was worry free and just had fun in it. i totaled that ole beater and got a nice new tahoe and i dont have one dent or scratch in it and i do nothing but worry where i park it who i park it next to and dont want to take it into the woods cause its too nice. i just miss the worry free of the ole beater and feel like i dont have as much fun. :(
anybody else feel the same? lets hear your stories.

Just sold one! I bought a 96 Z71 for a winter beater but it was a coin machine. I've had pretty nice cars for the last 6 or so years so I had forgotten what it was like. Putting a set of Blizzaks on the wife's car instead.:emotions122:

i still have my beater(1994 mazda mx6) and i feel more comfortable putting around town in it than i do the tahoe. its my mon-fri or work vehicle and the tahoe is only mostly driven on the weekends, roadtrips or special occasions.

I still have my '95 Tahoe 4-door, though it has been neglected for the past 6 months or so. Shit, I haven't even started it in like a month =X.

Although, I did take it offroading back in September and it was fun as hell. Almost got stuck once, but she pulled through. I love that thing and I feel fortunate that I still own it. When the weather breaks next year and I have more money I plan to continue on my 383 project for it.

I miss my '93 Grand Cherokee Limited...bought it for a song, it was basically the car I drove when shit was gonna get rough. Had a bullet hole in the tailgate, a smashed rear bumper and the front glass was cracked from a shotgun pellet. But it started everytime, never complained, and I still think they aren't half bad looking trucks. Traded it in like a month ago when I bought my girlfriend a Mazda 3 for christmas...didn't have the garage room anyway...but part of me still misses it.
