Anyone bought a refurbished factory radio?

I’ve pulled my factory 6disc apart to clean it and now it might play a song before it malfunctions and kicks the disc out. If I could find info on how to fix it I would but I’m lost.

So I was looking for a replacement and some offer Bluetooth addons to the factory radio. I was curious if anyone has bought one

If you want a replacement very similar to what you currently have, I think that eBay would be your best option.

If you want to modernize and add Bluetooth, that I recommend that you establish a budget first and then give Crutchfield a call and discuss options on an aftermarket head unit and a interconnection device that will preserve your steering wheel controls and meet your budget.

We have a local shop that does some amazing stuff with stereo, even in newer vehicles. In dash touch screen blue tooth SiriusXM and with camera monitoring. And pretty reasonable too. Might search around in your area? The audio system in our 2019 is all fouled up and I'm trying to figure out how to go with it too.

I feel like an idiot a little, some more searching turned out this

So, I ordered the part he suggested thru Aliexpress and am waiting for it to arrive. I think when I do that I’ll wire in an aux port like many do into the XM wires. That’ll at least give me a little more while still keeping a stock radio which is what I want to try to do.

I too can do without all the fancy stuff. Give me an FM radio, CD player, and Aux input and I'm good to go. All the tech stuff just makes for (distracted) bad drivers on the roads.

Got the new cd changer in and replaced in the stock head unit and while I was in it I wired up an aux plug into the XM unit. Cd player shuffles but doesn’t accept a cd, aux plug works but sounds like hot garbage. I’m about to pull the trigger on a refurbished radio and hope it all works and wire in a different amp that works when it’s cold.

Oh well, you gave it a good try.
