Just purchased a 2017 Tahoe LS, debating on installing the Katzkin leather. Anybody have either a recommendation of a different company to use or regret doing the Katzkin in their vehicle?

Online reviews have only been positive, just looking for more feedback.

Thanks

Ryan

I’ve done them on 4 vehicles and swear by them. Get the Tuscany and you’ll never go back!

My wife had them installed on her 2012 Tundra and they have held up very well over the years. I would not have any reservations to get them again.

Would you mind telling us what the $$ estimates are? Never had interior redone myself.

I have requested 2 quotes for install from local installers, still waiting to hear back. The local Chevrolet dealer does leather install for $1600 through a third party, but I am not sure if they use Katzkin or one of the other companies such as canadaseatskins. I'm seeing the Katzkins on ebay for around $800, and I would do it myself, I've redone the interior of a silverado before and it wasn't too bad of a deal.

I didn't think katzkins sold to the public, I'll check out ebay. Was looking to do it myself as well if possible.

I purchased the kit from Ebay for $800 shipped. Local upholstery shop charged $1000 for installation. It took him 2 days to complete. I am happy with the look, the only thing is the zippers on the back of the covers take a bit of getting used to.

i bought directly from katzkin back in around 2004 or 2005 for diff vehicle.
it was a custom order & was just under 700 per pair of captain chairs. stitching & everything looked great.
swapped out seat skins myself.
had the truck for another 10 years... their leather held up well. only issue i had was on the front captain chair arms. i swapped on my stock ones before i sold it.

Zippers? I am not sure I have seen Katzkin's with zippers.

I had Katzkin seat covers on 2 trucks in the past. I've had a very good experience with them in both cases. You can also check out Roadwire seat covers. They are doing some cool things with stitching, etc.
