Y'all,

The volume knob of the stock radio (w/ navigation) in my '13 LTZ causes the volume to skip in large steps and/or jump back-and-forth. Obviously, it's an encoder instead of a rheostat.

Does anyone have any advice/experience with cleaning the encoder (or even replacing it)?

Thanks in advance,
Scrappy

I've sprayed one of my radios' encoder with huge amounts of contact cleaner, it did the trick. Ofc the radio's front panel had to be disassembled to do so. Won't recommend this unless you're pretty well versed with disassembling old electronics — it's very easy to break the plastic or damage the touch screen
