Lol. No, it doesn’t roast anything. The 6.2 engine is night and day over the 5.3. The Denali has scary acceleration and roasts tires

I guess you never triedLol. No, it doesn’t roast anything.
I’ve had 3….and it never once occurred to me to help facilitate it. In pickup truck, Denali short, and Denali long…..neither will “spin” the rear tires on dry pavement from a stand still. Might get a little wiggle, but it would take standing on the brake….and I don’t know if it would roast with proper authority. Do what you want with yours!I guess you never tried
I"m looking forward to the PulsarLT coming out for this new gen of GM's. Mostly to disable the DFM, but benefits to be had by the other tricks it offers, too.PulsarLT adjusts the throttle response. May not even need a tune.
It’s all personal opinion, I mean a 6.4 Wagooneer will take the 6.2 any day. If you are getting the 6.2 to be the fastest off the line, sorry you will not be the fastest.
very important traits for a soccer mom rideThe 6.2 engine is night and day over the 5.3. The Denali has scary acceleration and roasts tires
Yeah so am I. I’m still in shocked that its not out on the 21’s yet. I hate when manufacturers lock their crap. All we need is someone to unlock that and I’m happy to pay to play.I"m looking forward to the PulsarLT coming out for this new gen of GM's. which rear end did you have in the ‘18?Personal experience
15 Suburban LTZ 2wd 5.3 6spd
Was no slouch did it’s job
18 Yukon XL Denali 4wd 6.2 10spd
Ran like a bat out of hell
21 Yukon XL Denali 4wd 6.2 10spd
Noticeably less quicker then the 18
22 Tahoe Z71 performance package 6.2 10spd
Still not on par with my 18 Denali,
My choice would be wait for a 6.2.
I called around 4 states for 3 days looking for a Denali for my wife…..before finding an allocation through a dealer friend. Wacky market! Things are basically sold prior to order.BTW, thanks for the offer to help search. I've done quite a bit of searching and contacting dealers, and I'm pretty confident that there isn't one out there that's available at the moment. There are several that are in transit and pre-sold, more so than there were just a month ago. I've probably followed up with the deal on at least 20 Tahoes nationwide, and I monitor the chevy website daily.
3.23 I don’t think the 6.2 10spd is available with any other rearwhich rear end did you have in the ‘18?
Mine runs fine on 87, convince me otherwise. So does my cadillacHell my 2016 6.2 Yukon Denali would roast the tires. It was a rocket ship when running the good fuel.
Back in the day my 97 K1500 vortec 350 once broke the rear end loose on a dry road when downshifting passing a car on a 2-lane. Fun times.
Only con I can give to the 6.2 is that is needs premium fuel. It's not cheap right now either.
In my 2011 Silverado, I have the 5.3 and it's perfectly passable for an everyday driver.

The owner manual says premium gas (91 or higher) recommended, but you can use gas as low as 87 octane with reduced performance and mileage.Mine runs fine on 87, convince me otherwise. So does my cadillac
