I replaced my hids and the bulbs shake... pissing me the F off!
so the only thing that is supposed to hold the bulbs in are these 3 little screws that are nowhere near the tabs on the bulbs.

has anybody came up with an idea to snug the bulbs up? Like thick washers and grind away grooves to match the shape of the bulb and let those 3 screws retain them or....????

Not sure what you mean, but I'll take a stab at it:

A lot of aftermarket lights use a different size bulb. Your old ones may have 9006's for the lows, and the new ones are designed for 9005's....that is a very common scenario, especially if you upgraded a Yukon's headlights to Denali-style.

Just a guess, though.

What I'm saying is there's zero bulb retainment. The plastic of the bulb is thin so there's a gap between it and the 3screws that are supposed to hold them in snug.

Shake or flicker? Mine flicker a bit, but I only notice it when I'm right behind another car at a stop. Driving and projecting down the road, they are fine.

that flicker is what i cant stand. ive had HIDs in my tundra for a year and a half and no issues at all. i put a set in the yukon and they flickered and drove me nuts. they lasted all of 10 minutes. they are now in a pile on my work bench in the garage.

I would put some tape around the plastic "keys" on the bulb to close the gap so it doesnt shake.. We had to do it on my buddy's bmw to get a tight fit..

^^^^ the only thing holding it is the rubber o-ring. lol Starting to think I was the only one in this boat

I'm thinking a thick washer or plastic washer I can make up with a dremel on top of the "keys" and the 3 screws in the housing should do the job.

It sounds like the bulbs are missing something. They should be snug when turned into place, and there's usually a thick rubber/plastic gasket type thing that goes on the base to ensure this.
